Natalia Cooper is Channel Nine’s TODAY show weather presenter and has been a journalist for more than a decade. Born in Perth, she started in the Perth Nine newsroom, where she went on to work as the station’s 6pm weather presenter and fill-in newsreader for five years.
Natalia studied Journalism at Curtin University, and in 2009 she joined Seven News Perth presenting the Afternoon News and 6pm weather while continuing to file news reports.
In 2012 Natalia relocated to Sydney and began working as a reporter for Sydney’s highest-rating evening news bulletin, 9 News. She has covered bushfires, floods, sieges, terror raids and Sydney’s wave of gun crime. She has also reported on visits from Prince Charles, Prince Harry and the Danish Royals.
Natalia quickly proved herself as a versatile correspondent for the Nine Network. More recently she spent a year working for the Today Show as their Sydney reporter, and has filled in presenting the national daytime news bulletins and weather on the 6pm news. Natalia went on to regularly fill in and read the news and weather for both TODAY and Weekend TODAY which saw her land the permanet weather role on TODAY. If that isn’t enough, Natalia has also hosted for popular Channel 9 program Postcards.
When she’s not working she enjoys spending her days with her husband, music producer Carl Fox, on the beach, watching films, listening to great music and travelling. She also isn’t afraid of her inner dancer, growing up dancing ballet, Natalia loves partici- pating in hip-hop classes whenever she has the chance.
